Hello,

I'm a new Odoo Partner (July 2015) and till now, we implemented Odoo for 3 customers using standard features (POS, Sales, Purchase, Warehouse, Accounting, …).

For one of these customers, I need to provide a solution in order to update product prices according to prices on supplier's invoice.

Most of the time the customer orders products without knowing the purchase price, he only knows the sales price (from the catalogue).

When receiving products, he still has no price on the delivery note.

He is aware of the purchase price only when he receives the invoice from the supplier.

So he would like to update automatically cost price of products while checking supplier invoices in Odoo.

It seems that it is the purpose of the module "Product Prices Update" ADHOC developed for Odoo 7 & 8.

I installed this module but I can't find which settings I have to change and which process I have to follow to make it working.

If I'm right, could you provide me with some explanation, manual or tutorial on this module ?

Thank you very much.

Sincerely yours.

Joel.

Hi Joel

How are you? I think you are trying with the wrong module, you should try this one:

https://github.com/ingadhoc/odoo-addons/blob/8.0/account_invoice_prices_update

It adds a button at the top left of the invoice, that allows to choose a Pricelist to update prices. In order to perform what you need to do, you will need to update previously the cost price at the product form, and use the Public Pricelist (if that's the case)

Regards!

Hi Gonzalo, Thanks for the tip to use this forum. I understand now what is the prupose and the process of this module. The purpose is to update the purchase product price in the product form first. Then you open the purchase order and check the invoice. Finally you use the additional button and the prices on the invoice are updated according to the product price in the product form. It is a good first step but the most useful would have been the reverse: first you check and update the prices on the supplier's invoice then you update the purchase product price in the product form thanks to a button "Update". If you know this kind of module, I'll be happy. Thanks. Joël.

Joel, I see... There was a module to perform what you need, but I don't know if it has been adapted for 8.0 as it was developed for 6.1(https://www.odoo.com/apps/6.1/avanzosc_update_cost_price_from_invoice/) Sorry I cannot help more... :S Regards!
